We've recently finished work on our first DMX512-A (ANSI E1.11-2008) product and decided to open source the firmware in an effort to help improve the uptake of RDM (Remote Device Management, ANSI E1.20-2006). By implementing the Enttec USB Pro open protocol the DMXking.com USB DMX512-A unit is immediately compatible with a wide range of existing software both free and commercial. Full RDM functionality has been implemented although there isn't really much software using the USB Pro Open USB protocol that actually offers RDM.
